| Costumes/ Choreography/ Training - 2026 |
Amount Funded: $1,500.00 |
| This grant would provide support for our dance team through the end of the season in March. The members of the dance team are a dedicated group of young women who excel not only in dance, but also in academics and community service. They are committed to giving back by volunteering their time to mentor younger dancers during youth dance clinics, inspiring the next generation through their leadership and positive example.
The commitment to the team extends beyond the dancers themselves. Parents volunteer countless hours to support the program by organizing events, fundraising, and assisting at performances and competitions. Together, the dancers and their families actively participate in community events, including local parades and volunteer opportunities, demonstrating their pride in representing both their school and the Stoughton community.
The impact of this program on the community is immeasurable. The dance team serves as ambassadors for Stoughton, representing the community with professionalism, sportsmanship, and school spirit at competitions, football games, basketball games, parades, and other community events. Their dedication, character, and commitment create a positive image of our community while fostering leadership, teamwork, and civic engagement that will benefit these young women long after their time on the team has ended. |
| This grant will help support the young women on our dance team as they develop into productive, responsible members of society. Being a member of the dance team requires dedication, discipline, teamwork, and leadership—qualities these students strive to demonstrate every day.
School dance programs are often underfunded, making it difficult to provide the same opportunities available to other competitive teams. This grant would help offset the costs of costumes, allowing our team to present themselves professionally while remaining competitive. It would also provide additional training to help our dancers safely learn advanced techniques, tricks, and stunts that are common in competitive dance.
In addition, grant funding would allow us to bring in experienced guest choreographers to work with our team. Learning from outside professionals would expose our dancers to new styles, techniques, and creative routines, helping them grow as performers while giving them the opportunity to showcase exciting, high-quality performances that make both the team and the community proud.
By investing in these young women, this grant would provide opportunities that extend far beyond dance. It would help build confidence, perseverance, responsibility, and teamwork—skills that will benefit them throughout their lives. |
