| Grant funding will enable us to meet this growing need by expanding access to primary care, chronic disease management, preventive services, medications, and health education. This support will help ensure that vulnerable members of our community continue to receive compassionate, high-quality care regardless of insurance status or ability to pay, while strengthening the healthcare safety net during a period of significant change.
The Neighborhood Free Health Clinic is looking to expand services by increasing the number of day/hours of operation, adding a women’s pap exam clinic day and providing prevention of chronic disease by establishing a RN Clinic only. This clinic will provide med review & update, foot clinic for the elderly, BP checks, finger-sticks and Accucheck.

| Recent changes to Medicaid eligibility, enrollment, and funding have created uncertainty for many low-income individuals and families. As some community members lose Medicaid coverage or experience interruptions in their benefits, many are left without affordable access to primary and preventive healthcare. Even short gaps in coverage can result in delayed treatment, unmanaged chronic conditions, increased emergency department utilization, and poorer long-term health outcomes.
As the areas free clinic, we serve as a critical healthcare safety net for uninsured residents who have nowhere else to turn. We anticipate increased demand for our services as more individuals face coverage losses or financial barriers to care. Without access to our clinic, many patients would postpone necessary medical treatment until their conditions become severe, leading to higher healthcare costs and worse health outcomes.
