The Stoughton Area Resource Team, Inc.
(START) provides a safety net for those in crisis. Recently, a 30-year old single father of two struggled to find work, to pay for daycare for his children and to secure a home; so much time was spent homeless and hopeless.

| In Stoughton and the surrounding rural areas, thousands of adults lack access to affordable, consistent medical care. And due to upcoming changes to Medicaid, thousands more will follow. NFHC directly addresses this gap by providing free, high-quality care - without eligibility tied to income or citizenship status. The NFHC stands as a beacon of hope and healing for uninsured and underinsured adults in Stoughton and surrounding communities. While all medical and support services are provided by volunteers, it nevertheless costs $100,000 to keep the doors open. With your support, we can increase our capacity, improve patient outcomes and build a sustainable path forward to ensure no adult is left with access to health care. |
| The demand for our services will continue to grow due to anticipated Medicaid cuts. To address this, we need to expand access to and infrastructure for primary care. This includes enhancing chronic disease management and follow-up care, expanding clinic hours by adding an additional evening per week, and launching an outreach campaign to rural communities. Currently, we have over 50 volunteers who contribute approximately 700 hours of their time. Last year, we served over 300 patients and hope to increase that number by 25%. |
