|Capital projects - 2023
|Amount Funded: $6,000.00
|These changes will help to make the theater experience for our patrons more enjoyable. It also provides a safe environment for the volunteers who do most of the work for a production and finally addresses the integrity of the historic building.
|During Covid, our doors were shut for 2 1/2 years. This is our main source of income. Luckily we have been good stewards of our funds and we’re able to pay all of our bills during that time as well as a few small projects inside the building. Plans for capital improvements were put on hold. The following are projects we would like to complete.
1. Replace the stage citation with a motorized mechanism for raising and lowering. The current curtain is stained and has tears and the pulley is not completely safe.
2. Rebuild the ramps for the interior stairs. This is used to transport the scaffolding to allow us to hang lights and also do ceiling repairs as needed. Our current ramps are not sized correctly and the wood is peeling.
3. Replace the current bulb lighting in the marquee with LED lights for energy efficiency.
4. Repair the escutcheon on the outside front of the building. The stone is crumbling and is part of the original facade.
